Temple Israel accepts members interested in modern Judaism regardless of their degree of Jewish background. Although our services mainly follow traditional Reform formats, utilizing the Gates of Prayer prayer books, our approach to worship is one of contemporary attitudes, responsive leadership and receptive audiences.

We are a congregation that is inclusive rather than exclusive, and we stress the importance of diversity of thought among unity of principle. At Temple Israel, we value the spirituality in ritual, and we strive to capture this feeling in our services.
